Key Responsibilities
- Manage and perform month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries, and workpapers.
- Support external audits by coordinating with auditors and providing documentation.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, forecasts, and budgets.
- Analyze financial data and provide reports to support business decisions.
- Oversee accounts payable, maintain vendor relationships, and ensure timely payments.
- Support billing and collections processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, ASC 606, and internal policies.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes.
- Collaborate with departments including Sales, IT, and Operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience.
- 2–3 years of audit experience at a Big Four or large audit firm required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition (ASC 606).
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the software or SaaS industry.
- Previous involvement in process improvement or automation projects.
Work Environment
- Remote-first role with flexibility.
- Potential for occasional in-person meetings in Manhattan, NY (once a week or month).
